Pie and beer oh my

Hey guys!

So that last post was super distant sounding b/c I didn’t know how else to communicate a day that meant a lot to me. But yes, that day meant a lot to me.

This morning I took the TExes and maybe passes. 50% that I did, 50% chance I didn’t. It’s not that it was an incredibly hard test; I jsut didn’t have the time to study for it.

I’m so sorry I haven’t been in touch this week; I’ll get better at this long-distance thing! Don’t give up on me yet!

God really provided for me in another way too. I’m getting to know Mary and Shay pretty well, and got haphazardly invited to tour their apartment with them tonight. I met their other roommates and we all went out for pie and then later for beer this evening with a couple of their other friends. And guess what??!!?! They’re all HOuston corps!!!! I’m soooo happy I might have some beginnings of community here.

At one point we were outside drinking beer and somehow I made a connection in the conversation to star wars. David goes “hey, so you’re into Anime (they found out during two truths and a lie) AND star wars! So you’re a nerd!” he says this in excited astonishment. I thought of you guys at that moment It’s because of you guys that I’m able to even attempt this whole thing called “being yourself” in a social situation.

Alrighty, I’m crashing.
